CYBERSEC EU is an annual public policy conference held at the ICE Congress Centre in Krakow, Poland dedicated to the strategic challenges of cybersecurity. Launched in 2015, it is unique in Central and Eastern Europe and one of the top five cybersecurity events in Europe with four dedicated streams designed to define trends and catalyse innovation.
One of the Institutional Patrons of the CYBERSEC Forum is the Cyberwatching Project, the European observatory of research and innovation in the field of cybersecurity and privacy, and this year the Project ran their inaugural Annual Workshop in the Auditorium in Krakow.
John Davies of Pervade Software, who proactively support the Cyberwatching Project, was invited to speak on stage at the Forum and as a Panelist in the Inaugural Workshop. John joined: David Wallom, Associate Professor at Oxford University; Michel Drescher from the e-Research Centre at Oxford University; Raul Valera of AEI Ciberseguridad in Spain; Jose Ruiz, a senior cybersecurity expert at Atos; and Aitor Vieira from the CYBECO project, a collaboration between seven European institutions.
This was the 3rd year running that John has spoken at CYBERSEC and this time the topic was assessing research outputs within the cybersecurity and privacy landscape.
