The Brecon to Cardiff Ultramarathon, is a 70k (44 mile), one way, fully marked race that winds its way from Brecon following the Taff Trail. Starting in the Brecon Beacons National Park with its dramatic mountain landscapes, pass crashing waterfalls and crystal clear reservoirs. Pervade CTO Jonathan Davies and Developer Ben Cairney followed the trail south to encounter a different landscape with reminders of Wales’s industrial heritage.

This event was the first ultramarathon (and first marathon) event for both Jonathan and Ben. Though usually held annually in February, 2021 was a unique year due to the COVID 19 pandemic and the event was moved to the sweltering heat of August with temperatures on the day exceeding 30 degrees Celsius. Jon and Ben finished the challenge together in just over 10 hours.
