Overview:

Pervade Software are recruiting for a Developer to join our development team in Daventry, Northamptonshire.  Helping to drive the development of our innovative suite of OpView™, OpAudit™ and OpIndex™ software for use in both Public and Private sectors, the successful candidate will be a professional and innovative problem solver that can work well within our expanding team. Duties will include both updating our existing code-base as well as producing new features from scratch. We base all of our products on our award-winning proprietary database so no knowledge of SQL is required, in fact we strive to rely on external libraries/code as little as possible, we are ok with re-inventing the wheel if it provides us with more control and/or a better user experience and we constantly buck the global trend of over reliance on 3rd party libraries/code.

All of our products run on Linux and are used by IT professionals to help manage their own IT Infrastructure and Security. With this in mind, any background in IT Security, Network Management and Linux Administration will also be looked upon favourably. Finally, although our users are typically IT professionals and so considered advanced users, we try to make our software as intuitive and easy-to-use as possible, this is why our developers have a User Experience First approach to all aspects of the development cycle, ensuring that our customers needs stay at the heart of all development.

Required Skills:

• Fluent knowledge of the PHP programming language (Core PHP, no frameworks used)
• Fluent knowledge of the JavaScript programming language
• Advanced knowledge of AJAX/AJAJ and its principles
• Advanced Knowledge of jQuery
• Basic knowledge of Linux
• Ability to work alone
• Ability to manage large project workflow
• 4 years experience as a PHP developer

Required Experience:

• Knowledge of Information Security
• Knowledge of SIEM/Log Management
• Experience with neural nets/machine learning
• Experience managing corporate IT networks
• Experience working with Active Directory
• Experience managing Linux (CentOS) systems
• Experience using the TOR network
• Experience with compliance standards such as ISO27001
• Experience using Apple Mac
