Virtual London Marathon
3rd October 2021

The 2021 London Marathon was the 41st running of the annual London Marathon. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the race was postponed from April until October to maximise the chances of a mass participation event, however for those that were not able to get a place to run in the famous London footrace a virtual version of the marathon was held on the same day . Pervade CTO Jonathan Davies and Developer Ben Cairney completed a virtual London Marathon by running laps of the Daventry Country Park situated adjacent to the Pervade technical offices.

Jonathan and Ben did not participate in this event alone, they enjoyed support from other members of the Pervade technical team including the commandeering of a picnic table by Systems Engineer Simon Dodd and Support Advisor Andy Whitbread to use as a refreshments stand visited every 2.25 miles. Both Jonathan and Ben were running to raise money for Help For Heroes.
